Hell On Wheels Season 2
2012 TV Series
1865, the war is over. Lincoln is dead. The newly reformed nation is an open wound. Men and women desperate for a new life head West to find work on the most significant engineering achievement of 19th century America: the Transcontinental Railroad. A Southerner, Cullen Bohannon, seeks revenge for the rape and murder of his wife at the hands of Union soldiers. Elam Jefferson, a recently freed slave, desperately fights for respect in a country that has shown him none. A Cheyenne tribe strategizes and brutally attacks the newly arrived white men, hell-bent on destroying their newly laid tracks and “iron horse”. This railroad will get built…but at what cost?

Hell on Wheels – Season Two Premiere Review
- Stuff We Like
Big picture: No, Total Recall did not start a disturbing trend. This is not another remake and Jeremy Renner is not the new Jason Bourne. Renner (The Hurt Locker) plays Aaron Cross, a new, semi-brainwashed, semi-confused, deadly-agent-turned-unlikely hero in The Bourne Legacy.
- The Province
The second season of Hell on Wheels returns this Sunday, but audience members have a chance to play catch up before Cullen Bohannan (Anson Mount) continues his adventures in the West.
- Hollywood Soap Box
The Western is alive and well on Sunday nights. That's where A&E's Longmire and AMC's Hell on Wheels, now entering its second season, have proved that this genre can flourish, if a series is built around a quiet but forceful hero, black-hearted villains, and attractive yet ruthless womenfolk.
